My name is Tim, and I’m a graphic designer.
This is my page

For the past decade, I have been a graphic designer with key roles in diverse worlds ranging from fast-paced newspaper production to self-published ‘zines and websites dedicate to my diverse interests. Officially, I have been the art director of multiple business-to-business (B2B) magazines, CD designer and independent graphic design professional.

My professional graphic design journey began at the PitchWeekly. I started in the dregs laying out classified ads but soon worked my way through the ranks to Editorial Assistant Art Director.

The fast-paced, deadline driven environment of The Pitch taught me how to work under the pressure of deadlines, balance the commercial with the artistic and manage the multiple personalities and demands of the writers and advertisers.

From the Pitch I headed to PRIMEDIA Business Magazines & Media Inc. (now Penton Media) there, I filled the artistic vision of three different B2B magazines. I led the front from traditional prepress work flow all the way to the creation of digital files. I was also an integral part of the group to integrate InDesign as our primary publication design tool.

After a handful of near misses during years of widespread layoffs I decide a career change was in order and took a break from design and tried my luck in the technical service industry.

In the summer of 2007, I joined my wife in her freelance venture and started working under the Panic banner. Taking on new clients and keeping existing clients happy with the work they have come to expect.

When I’m not in front of my keyboard I am an active member in my children’s schools. I also coach a local youth hockey team and compete in Missouri’s ruthless competition BBQ circuit.
